Volunteers

“The first time I left after helping my MomsBloom family- I got goosebumps- THIS is what it feels like to make a difference.” ~Lesley, Volunteer

“I would be so proud if my daughter turned out to be like Ashley, my volunteer” ~MomsBloom Mom

Join the MomSquad!

MomsBloom volunteers are comprised of people who are passionate about the bond between parent and baby. For many volunteers, helping a family with a newborn is a life-affirming experience. Volunteers must be available a few hours a week and make a 6 to 12 week commitment to a family. All volunteers are screened and an orientation program is required.

Volunteers offer an extra pair of hands, a listening ear, that source of encouragement that many parents need once a little one comes along. No experience required. All you need is a willing heart and ready hands.

We have new volunteer role available! If you are looking for a new way to support moms, this will be the perfect match! You can learn how to help a family identify and build their support network. This role requires 1-2 visits, so this is a very short term commitment.

We coach moms about opportunities like playgroups, explain the role of a mother’s helper and how can she find one, how to organize a sitter trade opportunity, and also talk to them about how to access other community resources that they may not yet know about. Contact Angie@momsbloom.org for more information or to learn about upcoming trainings.
