Volunteer of the Year - Margie Jaeger

Margie has been an invaluable member of the MomsBloom team ever since she began contracting with us to help alleviate our wait list! Her excellent English and Spanish skills have help MomsBloom provide wonderful postpartum and connection, and she has served 15 families who would have otherwise gone without support! Parents supported by Margie describe her as sweet, attentive, and blessing to their home.

Organization of the Year - Mind Body Baby

Mind Body Baby is focused on providing a safe community space where mothers and mothers to be can take refuge in movement and connection. They has partnered with MomsBloom to offer free postpartum yoga in the park classes over the summer and hosted MomsBloom’s postpartum poetry workshop to give parents the opportunity to express the emotions surrounding parenthood.

Health Professional of the Year - Rachel Whittington

Rachel Whittington is a certified full-spectrum doula, lactation counselor, child specialist, home visitor, and activist. She is the owner of Martin’s Village doula services, and has a passion for serving those who are most under-represented and under-supported in their birth experience. The many clients who nominated Rachel describe her as a true pro at what she does, along with being genuinely kind, loving, and caring.

Parents of the Year

Richard Ramos, Madison Reeves, and Phearin Mak-Gerlings overcame extraordinary challenges in order to be incredible parents. All three of these parents are strong, resilient, and an example for all of us!
