Changes to Ottawa Programming
This fall, MomsBloom will be pausing Ottawa County programming due to a funding gap. Our seed funding from the Community Foundation for the Holland/Zeeland Area (CFHZ) ends September 30, and two additional anticipated funding opportunities were not released this year. Without these funds, we cannot sustain Ottawa County services in their current form.
What this means for you
Families currently receiving visits will complete their services.
Families with upcoming due dates who are already enrolled will be referred to other local resources.
Kent County programming will continue as usual. This pause only impacts Ottawa County.
Our commitment to Ottawa families remains strong. This is a pause, not an ending.
Thank you for being part of the MomsBloom community. Together, we’ve walked alongside hundreds of families in the early stages of bringing a child home, and we believe we’ll continue to do so for many years to come
-
Ottawa County currently has been a smaller portion of our overall services. Funding has historically been lower for this region and while MomsBloom has grown overall, our Ottawa County program hasn’t experienced the same level of sustainability.
-
Nope! MomsBloom is not shutting down. We are pausing only in Ottawa County while we build a stronger, sustainable model. Our programming in Kent County continues as usual.
-
We don’t have a set timeline yet. The pause allows us to step back, reassess, and secure funding so that when MomsBloom returns to Ottawa County, it will be strong and sustainable.
-
Ottawa County families currently receiving visits will finish their scheduled sessions. We will not end services early for current clients. The Kent County resident program will continue as normal.
-
If you live in Ottawa County and have a future due date or are on our waitlist, we will connect you with other local organizations that provide postpartum support so you are not left without help. The Kent County resident program will continue as normal.

At this time, we are not enrolling new Ottawa County families while programming is paused.
